3D Packages
1. Click File=> new. Set the new image to the following: - width = 500 pixels
- height = 500 pixels
- resolutions = 72 ppi
- mode = RGB
- contents = white
2. Click Layer=> New => Layer. Call this layer Box shading. Click Filter=> render=> 3dtransform. Select the Cube Tool and set the options to resolution = medium, anti alias = medium And UNCHECK the display background.  3. Draw a box with field of view set to 35. Click in upper left and drag cursor down to lower right, not too close to the edges. click your second click when you reach the size you want. You can grab your arrow tool and re-center the box outline. 4. Select the rotate tool and use it to rotate your cube so you see three solid sides, where the top is a flat side. Notice how it will pivot on one point. This is the hardest to line up. Use the Dolly on the right to resize as it comes towards you. use the arrow to replace the cube in the center.
 Click OK. 5. Click Image=> Adjustments=> Curves. Bring the left point all the way from the bottom to the top corner. Bring the right side of the graph to the midpoint down from the top to bottom. This will make your box a good range of shades for it to be colored.. 6. Click layer=> new => layer. Call the layer box color. Set the foreground color to light brown, Hex #CC9966. Use the paint bucket to fill this layer. Change the layer mode to Overlay. Click Control G (Ctrl G) to make the clipping path. Link this layer to the box shading and click Layer=> Merge Linked. 7. Insert a New layer. Select your line shape tool. Set it to pixels instead of shape, and 3 pixel wide, normal, 100% opacity and anti alias checked.   Set your Foreground color to hex #996633 and Draw the side paper folds like the drawing on the right. Click Filter=> Blur=> Gaussian Blur. Set the Gaussian blur to 2 pixels. 7. Click Layer=> New Layer. Call the layer Address label. Select your rectangular marquee tool set to the option of style = fixed, width = 250 pixel and height = 150. Click in the middle of your canvas on the new layer. Hit your D key followed by your X key. Fill your selection with white. 8. Set your foreground color to red, #FF0000. Click edit=> stroke. Set to 2 pixel red outside 9. Set your marquee tool to width = 240 height = 30. Click on your canvas and move the selection so it is centered on the top of the label. Using your paint bucket, Fill with red. 10. Fill in your label. - In White, #FFFFFF, type in Developingwebs.net at 24 pt Arial smooth over the red area.
- In blue, hex #3300CC, type in your address or whose ever you want with 24 pt Monotype corsiva, smooth, in the white area
- Link the type layers to the label layer. Merge linked layers by clicking layer=> merged linked.
 11. Skewing the label: Click Edit=> transform=>distort. Drag the corners of the label to the corners of the box without applying the transformation, click edit transform=> scale. reduce the height and width so the label will show brown paper around it. Move the image to about center on top of the package and apply transformation. 12. Download and open the fragile.jpg image. Use your move tool to drag it onto your canvas. Click edit=> transform=> distort. Drag the corners to the corners of the right side of the box. Then without applying the transformation, click edit=> transform=> scale. Scale the fragile tag down to fit on the center of your box right side. 13. Download and open the endup.jpg image. Use your move tool to drag it onto your canvas. Click edit=> transform=> distort. Drag the corners to the corners of the right side of the box. Then without applying the transformation, click edit=> transform=> scale. Scale the fragile tag down to fit on the center of your box left side. |
