Christmas Wreath
1. Open a New image by clicking File => open. Set the size to
750 pixels by 750 pixels, 72 ppi, white, RGB. Open up the branch file you
downloaded.
2. On the Branch file, duplicate the background layer by right clicking
on the background and selecting duplicate. Turn the eye off on the
background layer.
3. Use the magic wand tool set to a tolerance of 45 to select the white
area around the branch. Hit your backspace key. Click Select=> Select
all. Then Edit=>copy.
4. Switch back to the new image file. Click Edit=> Paste. Then click Edit=>Paste again.
5. Click Edit=>Transform flip vertical. Click Edit=> Free Transform,
Set the X by adding 33. Set the y by subtracting 34. Click the check box.

Click Edit=>Paste. Click Edit=>Transform flip vertical. Click Edit=> Free Transform, Set
the X by adding 72. Set the y by subtracting 51 and setting the angle to
10 degrees. Click the check box.
6. Click Edit=>Paste. Click Edit=> Free Transform, Set the X by
adding 93. Set the y by subtracting 20 and set the angle box to 15
degrees. Click the check box.
7. Click Edit=>Paste. Click Edit=> Free Transform, Set the X by
adding 109. Set the y by subtracting 20 and set the angle box to 10
degrees. Click the check box.
8. Right click on the first branch layer and select Blending Options.
Check the Drop Shadow. Click ok. Right click on this layer and Select Copy
layer style. Click on the 4 other branch layers and Select Paste Layer
Style..
9. Link the 5 branch layers by clicking one of them and clicking the
link column on the other three. Then click Layer => Merge Linked. Rename
this layer Branches. use the move tool to move the branches close to the
center top. Duplicate this layer.
10. On the branches copy click Edit=> Free Transform. Set the x by
adding 148.5. Set the y by adding 34.5. Set the angle to 40.
Duplicate this layer.

11. On the Branches copy 2, click edit, FreeTransform. Set the x by
adding 255.5. Set the y by adding 121. Set the angle to 40.
Duplicate this layer.
12. On the Branches copy 3 click Edit=> Free Transform. Set the x by
adding 139. Set the y by adding 285.5. Set the angle to 40.
Duplicate this layer.
13. On the Branches copy 4 click Edit=> Free Transform. Set the x by
adding 150. Set the y by adding 405. Set the angle to 40.
14. Link the branch layers by clicking on the branches 4 copy and
turning the link on in each of the other branches layers. Click Layer=>
Merge Linked.
15. Duplicate this merged copy. Click edit=> transform=> Rotate 180
degrees. Use the move tool to move the arc of boughs so that it makes a
perfect circle.
16. Click the layer mask button on the bottom of the layers panel. Set
your colors by clicking D followed by X. Select a good size soft brush.
(17 soft is good). Paint black on the mask where the pine cone end shows
and follow the branch to mask some of the branches.

17. Link the two branches layers and merge linked. Set the
blending option to drop shadow.
Decorations
18. Insert a background of your choice. Add any of the decorating
images you downloaded for this tutorial by using a lasso set to 10 pixel
feather and drag and dropping it onto your wreath.
