Making Texture Tiles for use as patterns and backgrounds

1. Open a new image Save the file as texture.psd. If you already
have one, use the one you have to add layers to.
- Call it Texture
- 200 wide
- 200 high
- 72 pixels per inch
- RGB
- White background
2. Insert a new layer. Call it CONCRETE.

3. Color it Tan using the paint bucket and hex #999999for foreground.
Double click the foreground color. Uncheck web safe colors and add the
hex value #999999 to the box labeled #.

Click Filter=>texture=>Craquelure

Crackspacing = 40
-
Crack depth = 4

Crack Brightness = 2.
5. Click ok.
6. Making Seamless tiles. We need to make this texture tile seamlessly as described
in Seamless tiles tutorial.
Use the offset by clicking Filter=>other=>offset. Set
at 100 horizontal 100 vertical. wrap around. Then follow the tutorial,
using the clone tool on the areas you need to merge, and a soft brush of 45
pixels.
7. Save your PSD for additional textures. Save your file in Gif or jpg
also for the web.

Adjust your colors using hue/saturations to get variations of this concrete.
Save again.
