Creating a Fill Pattern
1. Open a an image in photoshop 6
that has a pattern you want to use as fill. For this example we will
use a tiling background, but you can use any texture you have.
2. Select the Marquee tool from
the tool bar. |
3. Draw a marquee around the
area you want to use as a fill. Since this example is a tiling
background the entire image was highlighted with the marquee
tool. |
4. Click the Edit menu
and select
Define Pattern...
5. The Pattern name
dialogue box appears. Name your pattern.

6. Click OK.
Now you are
ready to use this pattern as a fill in your images.
Click Using
a fill pattern to learn how to use the patterns.
