Creating a Dream Catcher

Download the following images for this tutorial by right clicking the link and select "save target as"

This tutorials uses radial blur, emboss, bevel, blending, mask, adjust size.

  1. Making water ripple effect
  2. Adding the Wolf
  3. Framing
  4. Stylizing the Frame
  5. Stringing the Catching Net
  6. Enlarging the Canvas
  7. Decorating the Ring

 

 

A. Making water ripple effect

1. Open a new image by clicking File New. 500 by 500 with resolution 300.

2. Set the forground color pallet to black by hitting your D key and select the pain bucket fill tool. Fill the canvas with solid black
 

3. Click Filter-->texture-->Grain with the settings:

  • Intensity 40
  • Contrast 50
  • Grain type Regular
     

4. Click Filter-->Stylize-->Emboss. With these settings:

  • angle 135
  • height 3
  • amount 100

5. Filter --->Blur--->Radial Blur with the settings:

  • Amount: 15
  • Blur method: Spin
  • Quality: Best

 

6. Filter -->blur-->--Radial Blur with the settings:

  • Amount: 15,
  • Blur Method: Zoom,
  • Quality: best

7. Then press Filter-->artistic-->Plastic Wrap with the settings:

  • Strength 15
  • Detail 15
  • smoothness 7

 

 

 

8. Click Image Adjust hue/saturation. Set the following

  • check colorize
  • hue 190
  • saturation 59
  • lightness 0
