Easy Flaming Text

1. Open a new file with the following settings

• 500x500 72px white background

2. Hit D key for black and white colors

3. Pick your type tool setting at 60 pt I use Garamond font bold but you could use any font that is bold

4. Click on background layer and create new layer by click on papers next to garbage can in layers panel
 

5. Hold down ctrl key and click on text layer.

6. Change color palette to red and yellow double click on black color make yellow click on white color make red.

7. Pick fill tool and fill the ants with yellow .

8. Magnify text to 200%.

9. Pick smudge tool it is your 6th tool down the left side of your toolbar if you do not see it right click and choose it.

10. Hit ctrl d to deselect text then choose the 5 px pencil brush last brush top row.

11. Starting from the middle of black text push out the yellow.

12. Next hold ctrl key click on text tool again.

13. Hit x key switch colors making red foreground using your fill tool fill text with red deselect text by ctrl D.

14. Select smudge tool and repeat pushing red out of text.

15. Hit the Delete key then delete text layer bye clicking layer then click on trash can.
