Fanciful Film
Download the following pictures or use your own.
1.
Open a new image that is 400 wide by 500 high, RGB, 72 ppi, trans[arent.
2. Create the film. Create a new layer. Draw a rectangular marquee that
is a fixed size of 225 wide by 500 high. Use the paint bucket to fill
with a dark grey, recommended hex #333333.

Select the eraser tool. Set the brush size to hard 19, with a spacing of
160%, hardness 100%.
4. Click in the upper right hand corner of the rectangle. Hold your
shift key down and click just below the film's lower right hand corner.
Release the shift key and click in the upper left hand corner of the film.
Hold the shift key down and click below the film just below the lower left
hand corner.

Open the three files you downloaded. Set your marquee size to set size 175
wide by 150 high. Use the move tool to grab the selection and drag it to
your canvas. Repeat on the next 2 files. Organize the new images on your
canvas so that they are equidistant apart and from the edges of the film,
centered on the film. (If you desire to have your images appear as negatives, now if hte time you would select each image layer and click image=>adjust=>invert.)

Turn your background layer 1 off and merge visible so that the images are
now on your film.
Click Filter=>distort=>shear. Set the shear at a shallow s, starting midway top, and ending midway bottom.
7. Click on the channels pallete. Click the button on the bottom to
create a new channel, alpha 1. Select the gradient tool, setting the
gradient options to the transparent rainbow. Draw the gradient starting at
the bottom of hte canvas to the top, jholding down the shift key to get a
straight gradient.
8. Click Filter=> Blur=> Gausian Blurr. Set the blur to 10 pixel.
9. Click back on your layers paletter and highlight your film layer.
Click Filter=> render=>lighting effects.

10. Click Edit=>free transform. Set the height to 60%, width to 90% and
angle to 30 degrees.

11.Double
click the layer to bring up layer styles and blending options. Click the
Drop shadow category. Set the shadow to

blending mode: multiply

opacity = 27%

Angle = 160
-
Distance = 31 pixels

Spread = 3
-
Size = 9
12. Click on your background layer. Select your gradient
tool set for radial gradient. Set you foreground color to hex #6666FF and
background color to hex #333333 . Draw a gradient from the center of your
canvas out.
