Working With Palettes
Displaying Palettes
1. Set your palette default layout by clicking window=> workspace=> reset
palette locations.
2. The tab key acts as a toggle key to hide all palettes and toolbars or
to display them. Press the tab key once to hide the toolbars and palettes.
Press the tab again to bring them back into view.
3. Shift tab will just toggle just the palettes on and off. Press shift
tab to turn off the palettes. Press shift tab again to turn them on. 4.
Palettes are nested in groups. Bring a palette to the front by clicking on a
tab.5. To move the entire palette group grab the blue title bar at the
top of the window and drag. To remove a palette from its group, grab the tab
of the one you want and drag it away from the group.
6. To move a palette to a new group of palettes, drag the tab of the
palette to a new group and drop it.
7. To put the palette in the palette well, drag it there and drop.
8. Palettes are resizable and can be minimized
Palette Menus
To find the palette menus, look the title bar of your palette group. Follow
the title bar to the right where you will see a minimize and close
button. Right under these window controls is an arrow pointing right. This
is how to access your palette menus. They are also called fly out menus.
Here you will find additional options for that palette.
Context menus are menus that you get when right clicking on some
of the palette menus.
Using
Online help.
To get to online help you simply have to click on the Help menu on the
right of the menu bar and select Photoshop Help. The help has an index,
table of contents, keyword search , and topics.
Using
Abobe Online Services
Click the link at the top of the tool bar to go to Adobe Online services.
Toggle from Photoshop to Image ready.
1. At the bottom of the toolbox is a link to jump to image ready. Click
it. This will open your Image ready program. At the bottom of the toolbox is
a link in image ready to jump to Photoshop.
2. When you jump to image ready, your current image will make the jump
also.
