Gold Background Texture

1. Create a new canvas by selecting file=> New. Set it to

• 150 wide
• 150 high
• white
• 72 ppi

2. Set your foreground color to hex valyue #FFFFC4. Set your background color to #AA9C6B.

3. Select your gradient tool, G, and set the gradient options to Reflected.

4. Click directly on your gradient color bar in the gradient options to bring up the gradient editor. Set the following colors at the set locations:

• 0%, #FFFFC4
• 23% ,#AA9C6B
• 48%, #FFFFC4
• 80% ,#AA9C6B
• 100%, #FFFFC4

4. Drag a gradient from the center of the canvas to the right, holding shift key down to make the gradient straight across.

5. Click Image=> Rotate Canvas => Arbitrary. Set the angle to 45 degrees clockwise.
6. Select your rectangular marquee, M, and set the following options

• Fixed size
• width 70
• height 70

Click in your image and center the selection on your pattern.

7. Click Image=> Crop

8. Click Filter=> Other=> Offset. Set the offset to

• 35 pixel horizontal
• 35 pixel vertical.
• Wrap around.

9, Click filter=> blur=> motion blur.

• Angle = 45 degrees
• Distance = 10 pixels

10. Repeat Steps 8 and 9 four times but decrease the distance in the motion blue by 2 with each repetition.

11. Click filter=> Noise=> add noise. Set to

• Amount = 20%
• Distribution = gaussian
• monochromatic

12. Save your image.
