Gradient Text!

1.
Create a new image.
- 400 wide
- 400 high
- RGB
- 72 pixels per inch
- white background
2. Add a New layer by clicking layer => New => Layer
3. Select your Type tool with
- Font Impact
- 48 pt

- color Black
4. Type any word or words you like on your canvas.

Right click on your Text Layer and select blending options.
6. Double click on on gradient overlay.
- Blend Mode Normal
- Opacity is 100%
- Click right on the Gradient color bar to open the gradient editor.
Gradient Editor
- Click the NEW button

Change
the name from CUSTOM to My Gradient
- Below on the gradient color bar click the first COLOR stop on the
bottom left. This will allow you to now choose your color of choice.

- location is 5%
- Click on the WHITE Color Stop all the way to the right and drag it
towards the middle.
- Click under your gradient bar to the far Right on the corner to create
a new stop it will be white location at 100%. Change the color by clicking
on the color box from White to
- Purple color number 400080

- Click the SAVE button and it should be default. Save into your
Photoshop's Gradient folder. Name your new gradient and click OK

Check and highlight Bevel and Emboss in your blending options. Use these
settings
- Style Inner Bevel
- Techinque Smooth
- Depth 121
- Direction UP
- Size 5
- Soften 0
- Shading angle 120
- Use Global Light is checked
- Altitude 30
- Gloss Contour = linear
- Highllight mode Screen
- Opacity 75
- Shadow Mode Mulitply
- Opacity 75
7.
Check and highlight STROKE on the left of the blending options box. Using
these settings
- Size 2px
- Position Outside
- Blending Mode Normal
- Opactiy 100%
- Color Black
- Click OK
8.
Using your crop tool you can crop off all access canvas so as just to have
your gradient text.
