Lighthouse
Lighting
1. Open the light house image. Duplicate the background and turn the eye
off of the background.

Select the Polygon Lasso tool. Use the polygon lasso to select the
lighthouse and all the land and water by clicking from point to point and
going full circle to enclose the area.
3. On the layers palette, click the icon on the bottom that says Add
Layer Mask.

4. Click on the background layer. Open the Sunset. Using the move tool.
Drag the sunset image onto the lighthouse canvas. Click Edit=>Transform=>
Scale. Set the width to 65% and the Height to 65 % and apply. Use the
Move tool to Position it so that the
bottom of the sunset is at the top of the water. 5. Duplicate your sunset
picture. Drag the new layer1copy to the top of your layers pallet.
6. Click Edit=> transform=> flip Vertical. Select your move tool. Click Edit=> Transform=>
Scale. Set the height to 250%. Use the move tool to move the top of this
image to along the top of the rocks along the far waters edge. Set this layer mode to Overlay. 8. Select the
Polygon Lasso tool. Use the polygon lasso
to select t he
lighthouse and buildings. Click Select=>Inverse. 9. Click the Add Layer Mask at
the bottom of the layers palette.
10. Add a new layer. Set your default colors by hitting your D key. Then
select your fill tool and fill the layer with black. 11. Click
Filter=>Render=>Lens flare. Set the lens flare to 100%
- brightness=100
- 50-300 mm Zoom
.12. Set the layer2
to Screen mode and use your move tool to place the flare over the lighthouse
top.
