Working With Selections 4

You will need this image to work with on combining tools.

Combining Selection Tools to get the results.

1. Open your farm image. Reset palette locations and Reset all tools. Select the layer 1 from the layers palette

2. Choose the Rectangular marquee tool from your toolbox (M). Select the the farm and sky from just below the ground level to the top of the picture.


3. Now choose the magic wand. Press your alt key and click the magic wand in the blue sky around the building. You may have to click in more then one blue sky spot, like between the buildings.You will notice that the farm is now selected is selected; we subtracted the blue sky background from the selection by using the alt key with the magic wand.

4. Click Layer=>Add Layer Mask=> Reveal selection.

5. Select, deselect. Save your file.
