Silk or Satin Tiles

1. Create a new canvas that is the following.

• 300 pixels wide
• 300 pixels high
• 72 ppi
• white
• RGB

2. Click Edit=> fill. Set the fill to

• 50% gray
• Mode= normal
• Opacity = 100%

3. Click Filter=> Render=> Lens Flare. Set the lens flare to

• brightness = 150
• Crosshair up and to the left of center
• 50-300 mm Prime

4. Click filer=> distort=> ZigZag. Set the following:

• Amount = 100%
• Ridges = 5
• Style = out from center.

5.  Click Filter=> Distort=> Polar Coordinates. Set the polar coordinates to Polar to Rectangular.

6. Click Filter=> other=> offset. Offset 150 pixel horizontal and vertical and wrap around.

7. Click Filter=> Distort=> Twirl. Set the twirl settings to

• angle= -200

8. Select the Smudge tool. Set it to the following options:

• 100 pixel soft brush
• mode = normal
• strength = 50%

• Starting in the lower right and use the smudge tool by wiggling slightly and dragging up to the upper left. Repeat.
  
• Drag the smudge tool from the upper left corner to the lower right wiggling as you go. Repeat.
  
• Drag the smudge tool from the upper right to the lower left, wiggling as you go. Repeat.
  

9. Select Filter=> blur=> Gaussian blur. Set the blur to about 3.5 pixel.

10. Click Filter=> other=> offset. Offset 150 pixel horizontal and vertical and wrap around.

11. Click Filter=> blur=> Gaussian Blur. Set the blur this time to 4.5 pixels.

12. You can offset again and adjust the smudge tool if need be.

13. For creating the silk colored tiles, click image=> adjust=> hue/saturation. Choose the color you want below, and set the hue saturation specified for that color.(**samples below were reduced to 33%)
