1. Open a new document that is

• 600 wide
• 100 high
• white
• RGB
• 72 ppi

2. Type in the words "TODAY'S NEWS" with your type tool set to the following:

• Times New Roman
• Size= 60 pt
• color = black
• smooth

3. Control Click the type layer to select the text and turn the eye off on the type layer.

4. Insert a new layer.

5. Click Edit=> Stroke. Set it to the following:

• width = 1 pixel
• color = hex #9999CC
• location = outside
• blending = dissolve
• opacity = 100%
