Tattoo Brush

1. Open the image you would like to make into a brush. I used this image from the web. You can simple open it up and right click on it and select copy. (You will not be using this image as is and will not violate the copyright as it will be changed nearly completely) Click File=> New and then ok to open up an image of the same size. Click Edit => Paste.

2. Magnify the image about 200-300 %. Using the magic wand set at a tolerance of 35, check contiguous, select the pixels outside the image and hit the backspace key. Delete al the pixels outside the main image this way.
3. Select the eraser tool, and the smallest hard brush (1px) set to 100% and wet edges. Use short strokes along the outside of the image at right angles to the image to cause a feather like appearance. follow the light colors up in the waves and/or clouds to highlight the texture.
4. Click Edit=> Define Brush. Your brush is now in your brush choice.
