Torn Paper
1. Open a New image that is 400 wide by 500 tall, 72 ppi, RGB white
background.
2. Insert a new layer. Fill with white. Use the Rectangular marquee to
select a large rectangle about 300 wide by 400 high and fill using the paint
bucket with solor set to hex value #FE F8DE
or other color you want your paper to be.
3. Click Filter=> Noise=> Add noise. Set noise to 5% Gausian,
monochromatic.

Click Filter=> Brush strokes=> Cross hatch
- length = 40
- sharpness = 2
- strength = 3
5. Click Select=> Deselect.

Click Filter=> brushstrokes=> spatter.
- radius=20
- smoothness = 10
7. Select your magic wand. Uncheck contiguous in the wand
options.
Click on the white on this layer to select all the white.
8. Click edit=>stoke
- width= 4 pixels
- Color= Orange
- location = outside
- blending = burn
- opacity = 50%
9. Repeat the stroke at 2 pixels , all other settings the same.
Use your rectangular marquee to select a horizontal rectangle in the
middle of your paper. Add a 2 pixel stroke to this selection.
Use the rectangular marquee to select the right half of the canvas and
add a 2 pixel stroke to it.
 
10. Use the magic wand to select the white area with contiguous
unchecked. Hit your backspace key.
11. Use the rectangular marquee to select the upper third delineated by
the burn mark. Click Edit=> Transform=>skew. Move the middle top handle to
the left just enough to skew the top third.
Select the bottom 2/3 of the paper with the rectangular marquee.
Click Edit=> Transform=>skew. Move the center bottom handle to the left to
skew the bottom 2/3.
Select the bottom third of the paper along the burn mark.
Click Edit=> Transform=>skew. Move the Bottom middle handle to the right to
skew the bottom third.
